My whole life I’ve been denying my “True Self”, wants and desires to make other people feel comfortable. I’ve questioned my motives; if I’m just being a pill because I wanted to create chaos or if I really felt the way I did because that’s how I felt. The Floral Mortician is bouquet preservation, but so much more to me. It’s a freeing aspect of creating the things in my brain without harnessing my desires. Allowing myself to do what I want, because I can, not because I want to make someone else feel comfortable. I guess I wear this Misunderstanding as a Badge of Honor.
I’ve always done shoots on our vacations to mark the time and creativity at the moment. I love playing with flowers and sometimes that is not available in our everyday life.
The Idea of The Bride’s Floral Mortician, Day at the Goth Beach came along when I was looking for a swimsuit for my Family Vacation. I found a black and white stripe one that screamed Beetleguise to me. Lime green flowers naturally were the choice to emphasize that look. My cousin was my photographer. I'm so lucky to have my family stand behind me and scratch that itch.
I am not a model by any means and will absolutely own that. I printed a posing guide that my Mom helped position me. Not bad for 5 people at the beach and not a single one has a clue what should be done.
